The San Bernardino County Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) was created to monitor and review the progress of the Counties’ equal employment opportunity programs. The EEOC prepares a Biennial Report on the counties’ progress. This year, Public Defender Phyllis K. Morris, Assistant Public Defender Christopher Gardner, and Diversity Committee Members Rasheed Alexander and Kawika Smith met with the EEOC to present and review our department’s efforts in achieving a more diverse workforce, improving workforce representation, diversity committee activities, outreach efforts, and succession plans. The presentation highlighted our department’s efforts in achieving a more diverse workforce in traditional, as well as non-traditional areas of diversity.
