In the California State Association of Counties‘ Administration of Justice & Public Safety category, the San Bernardino County Public Defender won a 2020 Challenge Award for the Virtual Court Program, which allows public defenders to work with their clients remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic safely with videoconferencing.
