San Bernardino County Public Defenders volunteered time to assist community members clear their records at the 17th Annual Fontana CAP Resource Fair on Saturday, August 14. Record clearing, or getting criminal convictions dismissed, enables individuals to obtain employment, access better housing, and receive social services.
Fontana CAP, or Community Assistance Program, is a partnership between the City of Fontana, Water of Life Community Church’s Local Outreach Department, and CityLink. CAP provides Fontana residents with no-cost or low-cost community services that enrich the lives of families and individuals. This year’s Resource Fair took place at Jack Bulik Park & Multi-purpose Rink.
The Public Defender’s Post-Conviction Relief Unit is available year-round to assist with record clearing. Visit our Clear Your Record page to learn more and begin the process.
