On Wednesday, October 13, 2021, San Bernardino County Public Defenders volunteered at the Veteran Stand Down and Homeless Resource Event organized by Reaching New Heights Foundation at Perris Hill Park. Public defenders helped approximately 100 members of the community clear up their warrants, traffic tickets, and misdemeanor and felony cases. It was a tremendous day, with many different members of the community working together to help veterans and unhoused people access food, housing, counseling, job opportunities, and much more.
