On July 18, 2024, our department participated in the Multidimensional Anti-Recidivism Partnership (MAP) event at the San Bernardino National Orange Show. This event united community members and local agencies to provide valuable resources for justice-involved individuals. MAP, a program created by the San Bernardino County Probation Department in partnership with Community Solutions, Inc., is designed to engage the community in developing rehabilitative programs that equip individuals with the skills necessary for long-term self-reliance and independent living.
MAP offers a comprehensive range of services, including social services, vocational training, and personal development, all aimed at promoting self-sufficiency and enhancing public safety. As part of this initiative, our department will be offering record-clearing writing workshops to help participants clear their criminal records. This service will empower individuals by removing barriers that may prevent them from obtaining housing or employment.
By collaborating with our community partners, we are committed to creating more opportunities for equitable access to justice in San Bernardino County.
