Saturday, September 22, 2018 — The Office of the Public Defender and the Pacific Juvenile Defender Center held its 15th Annual Roundtable: Changes in the Wind.

This conference brought together juvenile advocates from 22 different counties around California for a full day of professional education, networking and celebration of our work. The event offered case law and legislative updates, as well as workshops in critical areas of juvenile law and policy. This year’s focus was on multiple, recent changes to juvenile law and policy that are reversing the destructive ‘tough on crime’ trajectory. We were honored to have Second District Supervisor Janice Rutherford welcome the practitioners to San Bernardino County.
