Members from our Central Division represented the Public Defender’s office at an outreach event on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at The Way World Outreach church in San Bernardino. The team assisted approximately 300 members of the community.
The participants were very grateful that we cared enough to attend and provide assistance to each and every one of them. We Made a Difference in someone’s life! They gave information on Proposition 47, which is a legal procedure for reducing certain previous felony convictions to misdemeanors. In addition to Prop 47 is Proposition 64, which reduces the penalties for most marijuana-related offenses.
